Skilled Labourer

This role will be responsible for conducting various tasks to support landscaping and construction activities on construction sites, and properties. They will assist and be responsible for physically maintaining outdoor landscaped areas by tasks like mowing lawns, weeding.

Equipment and vehicle operation is crucial for this role as you will be required to travel between sites. Depending on the day your tasks can vary from lawn maintenance to construction support. This may include removal of debris and materials or direct labour hands to tradesman.

Job Responsibilities:
Lawn maintenance: Cutting grass, raking, aerating, dethatching, fertilizing, and watering lawns
Clean up: Removing debris, leaves, and litter from landscaped areas
Equipment operation: Operating power mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers, chain saws, and other landscaping tools
Vehicle Operation: Truck operation to get from site to site
Construction Safety Knowledge: must be aware of protected construction

Requirements:
Physical ability to perform manual labour for extended periods
Keen attention to detail




Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
Ability to operate and maintain landscaping equipment safely
Excellent verbal and written communication to interact with clients and team members
Basic knowledge of plant identification and care practices
Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license

Conditions:
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift
Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, heavy equipment, and materials
Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis
Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold
