Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Short Order Cook to join our busy kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of quick-serve meals in a fast-paced restaurant workplace. This role requires strong food preparation skills, attention to food safety, and excellent serving and food handling abilities. The Short Order Cook will play a vital part in delivering high-quality meals promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.

Duties
Prepare and cook menu items quickly and accurately according to established recipes and standards
Handle food preparation tasks including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients
Cook a variety of dishes such as sandwiches, breakfast items, burgers, and other quick-serve foods
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and sanitation guidelines
Serve food to customers efficiently while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management




Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure freshness

Skills
Proven experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments with a focus on meal preparation and cooking
Solid understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
Excellent serving skills with the ability to deliver prompt, friendly service to customers
Knowledge of food industry best practices related to quick-service meal preparation
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
Valuable communication skills and teamwork orientation
Familiarity with kitchen equipment used for short order cooking such as grills, fryers, and ovens

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
