POSITION SUMMARY

Trimen Electric is looking to hire a Junior Electrical Estimator to join our team. Reporting to the construction operations manager, the electrical estimator plays a key role in analyzing costs, preparing take offs, and developing accurate estimates for electrical projects, within the commercial construction sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare full cost estimates for conceptual, design build or general tendered projects.
Review of drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work and required content for the estimate.
Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff scope of work.
Provides input regarding estimating strategies including profitability, risk management, execution strategy, and costs.
Assisting the estimating team with budget and design build opportunities when required.
Tender “A” material packages to electrical distributors.
Once estimate is completed forward all relevant information to senior management for review prior to the bid date.
Coordinate with management for review of all outgoing tenders.
Follow up on bids and obtain feedback from general contractors to maintain competitiveness in the marketplace.




Ability to multitask and have the ability to switch between tasks in order to meet deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION
A Journeyperson electrician with a minimum of 3 years of experience, or a graduate of a post-secondary program with equivalent experience. Candidate must be experienced with electrical systems and processes.
Previous estimating experience considered an asset.

EXPERIENCE
Experience working with Accubid estimating software is considered an asset.
Bluebeam software experience is an asset.
Solid MS Office skills, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
Must have own vehicle.

Pay: $42,000.00-$78,000.00 per year

Experience:
Journeyperson Electrical: 3 years (preferred)
