Job Overview

We are seeking a agile and dedicated Flatbed Truck Driver to join our transportation team! In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating flatbed trucks to transport freight across various destinations with in Fort McMurray (RMWB) and Alberta, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Your expertise in commercial driving and heavy equipment operation, will be essential to excel in this fast-paced environment. Duties
Safely operate flatbed trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations during transportation routes
Secure freight properly on the flatbed using straps, chains, and other securing devices to prevent shifting or damage
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load security
Load and unload vehicles and various equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues during transit




Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to maintain vehicle performance and safety
Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, delivery logs, and inspection reports

Qualifications
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean commercial driving record
Proven experience operating flatbed trucks in a commercial setting
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and securing techniques on flatbeds
Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting vehicle issues
Robust communication skills and attention to detail for accurate record-keeping
Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual tasks as needed

Pay: $36.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
