Job Summary:

At Pullets Plus Inc. we pride ourselves in effective, punctual and high quality service in Ontario's poultry transport industry. We have become the standard to meet for live poultry transportation in Ontario. We have top of the line equipment and professional drivers. We are looking to add another experienced, proficient driver to our team to operate them.

The Pullet Transport Driver is responsible for the secure and productive transportation of live pullets between farms. This role requires strict adherence to animal welfare standards, biosecurity protocols, and transportation regulations. The position involves physical work in dusty environments and handling live poultry.

This job will require mainly operating a light-duty pickup truck and trailer. During busy seasons there will be opportunities for full-size tractor trailer loads.

Key Responsibilities:
Transport Live Pullets: Safely load, secure, and deliver pullets to designated locations using company vehicles and trailers.
Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; ensure cleanliness and compliance with biosecurity standards.
Documentation: Complete bills of lading, delivery logs,



and maintain accurate records of shipments and inspections
Communication: Coordinate with farm managers and dispatch for scheduling and route updates.

Qualifications:
Valid Canadian Class AZ driver’s license with a clean, insurable record.
Experience in livestock or agricultural transportation preferred.
Ability to work in dusty, physically demanding environments.
Mechanically inclined for minor vehicle and trailer repairs.
Flexible schedule – willing to work evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight trips.
Self-motivated, punctual, and detail-oriented.

Additional Assets:
Forklift or skid steer certification.
Basic computer skills for data entry and compliance reporting.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 – 60 per week
