This role is ideal for an experienced designer with robust technical knowledge of commercial glazing systems who can translate architectural and structural requirements into accurate, constructible drawings. You will work closely with project managers, engineering, field teams and other stakeholders to support projects from design development through fabrication and installation.What You’ll DoPrepare detailed drawings and installation details for commercial glazing projectsReview architectural, structural and project drawings, specifications and contract documents to understand design requirements and project scopeDevelop accurate glazing details for curtain wall, window wall, storefront, entrances and other architectural glazing systemsCoordinate glazing designs with architectural, structural and other building envelope componentsReview project-specific requirements and ensure drawings comply with approved specifications, design intent and applicable standardsIncorporate engineering requirements, consultant comments, field conditions and project changes into drawingsCoordinate with Project Managers, Estimators, Engineers, Site Supervisors and field teams to resolve design and constructability issuesParticipate in drawing reviews and identify potential design conflicts, discrepancies and coordination issues before fabrication and installationPrepare drawing revisions, markups,



RFIs and other technical documentation as requiredReview dimensions, materials, system components and interfaces to ensure drawing accuracy and constructabilitySupport material take-offs and fabrication requirements based on approved drawingsCoordinate with suppliers and manufacturers regarding glazing systems, components and technical requirementsProvide technical support to fabrication and field teams during project executionAssist with project handoffs and ensure design information is communicated accurately to project and production teamsMaintain organized drawing files, revisions and project documentationSupport and provide technical guidance to junior designers and drafting team members as requiredManage multiple projects and drawing deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detailWhat You Bring to the TeamDiploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology, Drafting, Building Science or a related fieldMinimum 5 years of professional experience in commercial glazing design and drafting, preferably within complex building envelope projectsStrong knowledge of commercial glazing systems, including curtain wall, window wall, storefront, entrances and architectural glass systemsDemonstrated experience independently preparing and reviewing shop drawings,
