Reporting to the Journeyperson Powerline Technician, the Powerline Technician Apprentice position allows you to develop skills in erecting and maintaining powerlines, troubleshooting transformers, and utilizing heavy equipment. You will play a critical role in supporting the installation and maintenance of vital energy infrastructure while learning industry-leading practices.

Key Responsibilities:
Erect and maintain steel, wood, or concrete poles
Install and repair overhead and underground powerlines
Work with heavy equipment like backhoes and aerial booms
Splice,



solder, and insulate conductors for power networks
Use electrical testing instruments to identify issues

Requirements:
Registered apprentice or Alberta-certified journeyperson
Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a valuable record
Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Willingness to work different shifts and travel
CSTS certification preferred and successful drug testing
