Join the Krembil Brain Institute at Toronto Western Hospital as a Nurse Practitioner, focusing on neurosurgical and spine conditions. This role offers autonomy and leadership in patient care.
As a temporary full time Nurse Practitioner for an 18-month contract, you will work primarily on inpatient neurosurgical/spine units. You’ll utilize advanced clinical skills to formulate diagnoses and manage complex patient care. Your expertise will also be critical in developing policies, conducting research, and enhancing nursing knowledge within the clinical team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collect and interpret patient health data comprehensively
• Determine medical diagnoses for complex patient responses
• Lead quality improvement and administrative tasks




• Participate in policy and procedure development activities
• Serve as a consultant to professionals within the hospital
Requirements:
• Master's Degree in Nursing as Nurse Practitioner
• Current Certificate of Competence from College of Nurses of Ontario
• 3-5 years nursing experience in neurosurgery or spinal care
• Certification in Neuroscience Nursing is an asset
• Strong decision-making and communication skills
