Job OverviewThe Intermediate Electrical Instrumentation, and Controls (EIC) Drafter role is a full-time role. In this role, the Drafter will assist the Lead Draftsperson with drafting and design tasks for all projects, coordinate with engineers and other professionals to meet project requirements, evaluate drawings, and ensure they adhere to appropriate drafting standards.ResponsibilitiesAmendment of mark-upsComplete and accurate re-drafting of construction and demolition drawingsCreation of basic electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and installation detailsProduction of area classifications and panel/junction box layoutsCleaning of DWG files for return to the clientAssisting project teams with the production of design drawing packagesParticipating in field trips, which are typically a few days and less frequently a few weeks,



while assisting in gathering information from existing facilitiesWorking with engineering and drafting team members to aid in quality assuranceQualificationsA two-year program spanning both design principles and good drafting procedures for relaying of a completed Electrical, instrumentation and control design of a construction package. The program should leave the student with a complete understanding of both AutoCAD and EIC design principles.Extensive EIC experience with an AutoCAD certificate.Solid analytical and organizational skills.Strong interpersonal skills combined with a positive, team-oriented attitude.Former EPC experience is an asset.Excellent written and oral communication skills.A minimum of 3 to 5 years of drafting experiencePlease send your resume to [email protected] and include the title of the position in the subject line.
