You'll provide tailored assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities in a supportive and inclusive setting. As a Direct Support Skilled, you will work closely with adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. This role requires commitment to person-centered support while promoting independence, dignity, and well-being. You’ll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to adapt your approach based on each individual's unique strengths and needs. Key Responsibilities:
Assist with daily living routines and personal care
Foster a calm and inclusive home environment
Implement positive behavior strategies and support plans
Encourage communication and coping skills development
Identify and respond to early signs of distress Requirements:
Diploma in Social Service Work or equivalent
Experience with adults with disabilities or dual diagnosis
Solid communication and documentation skills
Proficient with AIMS and Microsoft Office
