About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and hands-on Telecommunications Technician to join their operational team in Kimberley . This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment and infrastructure, ensuring the continuous delivery of services to customers. You will perform in office troubleshooting, service activations, and routine inspections to maintain network integrity. This is a field-based position requiring active engagement within the Kimberley region.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, test, and repair telecommunications equipment, including routers, switches, modems, and customer premises equipment (CPE).
- Perform troubleshooting of network and service issues, diagnosing faults and implementing corrective actions.
- Activate and test new customer services, ensuring functionality and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of network infrastructure to prevent service disruptions.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company procedures during all field operations.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls,



work performed, and inventory used.

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications (e.g., N+ , A+) are advantageous.
- 1-3 years of experience as a telecommunications technician or in a similar field service role.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, telecommunications systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and testing equipment common in the industry.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle physically demanding tasks.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
