Senior Building Automation Systems (BAS) Service Technician

Location: Ottawa, ON

Support the operation, optimization, and ongoing improvement of building automation systems across commercial, institutional, industrial, and other facilities.

Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize building automation systems and control networks.
Perform preventative maintenance, service work, upgrades, and commissioning.
Program and configure HVAC controls and related mechanical equipment.
Analyze control sequences, trends, alarms, and network communications to identify improvements.
Provide technical recommendations, customer guidance, and training.
Prepare service reports and collaborate with clients, facility operators, and project teams.
Identify opportunities for system modernization, energy retrofits, and upgrades.

Qualifications




Five to eight years of hands-on BAS or HVAC controls experience, including field service and preventative maintenance.
Experience with commercial, institutional, or industrial buildings and BAS platforms such as Delta Controls, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Niagara, Automated Logic, or Trane.
Robust controls and electrical troubleshooting skills; ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and sequences of operation.
Valid driver's license.
Experience with BACnet, BAS network troubleshooting, customer training, or technical mentoring is an asset.

Compensation and employment

Salary: $90,000–$130,000 per year. Full time; one position available.
