Flash Express Courier is looking for experienced independent contractor courier drivers to run daily routes across Calgary and surrounding areas.
You will run an assigned daily route delivering documents, small parcels, pharmacy shipments and heavier freight to businesses and residences across Calgary. Routes are steady and repeat, so you get to know your customers and your streets.
This is an independent contractor position, not employment. You invoice Flash Express for the work you complete, you supply your own vehicle and phone, and you are responsible for your own taxes, WCB coverage and business expenses.
What you will be doing Running an assigned daily route across Calgary and surrounding areas
Picking up and delivering documents, parcels, pharmacy shipments and freight
Capturing proof of delivery and updating deliveries in our dispatch app in real time
Communicating with dispatch on route changes, add-ons and delays
Handling sensitive and confidential items with care and discretion
Representing Flash Express professionally at every stop
Requirements Previous courier experience. This is not an entry-level route, we are looking for drivers who have run delivery work before.
Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence (or equivalent)

A clean, current driver's abstract
Your own reliable SUV, van, minivan or hatchback in good working condition
Vehicle insurance that covers business or commercial use
An Android smartphone with a working data plan
Willingness to complete a criminal record check
Legally entitled to work in Canada
Ability to lift and carry parcels up to approximately 50 lbs
Nice to have Experience with pharmacy or medical courier work
Familiarity with Calgary quadrants and industrial parks
Experience with heavier freight, pallets or dollies
What we offer 37% commission on your route revenue. The more your route produces, the more you earn.
Fuel allowance. Calculated based on the route you run.
Full time volume, Monday to Friday. Weekends and Canadian statutory holidays off.
Busy, established routes. We complete 1,000+ deliveries a week, so there is consistent work.
Dispatch that actually answers. You are not left guessing on a change or a problem address.
Direct access to the owner. Flash Express is locally owned and Drilon is in the business every day.
