The Junior Maintenance Technician assists in the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and setup of production filling, packaging, and processing equipment in a GMP-regulated cosmetics and health products manufacturing environment.

This role supports production by helping resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic PLC-related equipment issues, while assisting with equipment changeovers, preventive maintenance, equipment installations, and continuous improvement activities. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, hands‑on, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

This is a hands‑on technical position with no direct management responsibilities.

Immediate Hire:
Salary: $55,000 – $65,000
Location: Scarborough, ON
Shift: Afternoon Shift

Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and optimize PLC‑controlled filling, processing, and packaging equipment.

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

Complete production line setups, product and packaging changeovers, machine adjustments, and start‑up support.

Establish, optimize, and document machine parameters for new products and packaging formats.





Diagnose recurring equipment failures, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective actions.

Support new product trials, equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.

Complete maintenance records accurately and perform all work in compliance with GMP, health and safety, and company requirements.

Qualifications:

Must be fluent in both English and Mandarin

Minimum 1 year of hands‑on maintenance experience supporting PLC‑controlled manufacturing, filling, packaging, or processing equipment in cosmetics, personal care products, or natural health products manufacturing.

Extensive hands‑on experience troubleshooting and repairing filling lines, cappers, labelers, cartoners, case packers, conveyors, and related equipment.

Proven ability to diagnose complex equipment failures to prevent recurrence and minimize downtime.

Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance, production line setups, changeovers, and machine parameter adjustments.

Ability to read technical manuals, drawings, diagrams, and schematics and work independently in a quick‑paced, GMP‑regulated manufacturing environment.
