Our energy & resources client is seeking a Senior Contracts Category Advisor to assist with a Category Portfolio for Upstream and Downstream Oil and Gas operations, including managing the lifecycle of the contracts within the portfolio Candidates must be located in Calgary, and will be in-office 5 days/week in downtown Calgary.

Occasional travel required to field sites.

Must Haves 5+ years of experience as a Category Advisor or Contracts Administrator with a focus on procurement or contract management experience 2+ years of category management experience, ideally in Upstream and Downstream operations Strong proficiency with MS Office , especially Word and Excel Understanding of sourcing and contracting lifecycle , P2P, Master Data objects, and Master Data Governance Financial business acumen and knowledge; data analytics and visualization tools Previous Oil and Gas,



or Energy experience Robust Nice to Have Professional Supply Chain certification such as SCMP, CSCP, CIPS, or ISM SAP experience Ariba for sourcing and contract storage Data analytics and visualization tools Responsibilities Manage assigned category portfolios throughout the contract lifecycle Execute sourcing initiatives aligned to the annual plan Develop category strategies, RFx initiatives, bid evaluations, and negotiations Administer post-award contract activities including contract changes, claims management, and close-outs Maintain contract documentation within Contract Management Systems Support contract administration activities including RFx creation, contract creation, and performance reporting Liaise with Legal, Risk Management, HSE, QA/QC, and other stakeholders on commercial activities
