Job Number: J0926-0130 Job Type: Full Time Job Category: Insurance Salary: Open Commercial Insurance Account Manager Commercial Insurance Account Manager Status: Full-Time, Permanent Location: Ontario OR Quebec Work Model: Remote Salary: Competitive + Bonus Position Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Account Manager to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, providing exceptional service, identifying coverage needs, and working closely with insurers to ensure clients receive appropriate and competitive solutions.

Key Responsibilities Client Account Management • Manage a portfolio of commercial insurance clients and act as their primary point of contact. • Develop and maintain solid, long-term relationships with clients. • Understand clients' businesses, operations, risks, and insurance requirements. • Provide professional advice regarding commercial insurance coverage and risk management. • Respond promptly to client inquiries, requests, and policy changes. • Conduct regular account reviews to identify changing exposures and coverage needs. • Basic financial reporting experience can identify net worth, profitability & cashflow ( qualify a risk before presenting to the UW) Policy Administration & Renewals • Prepare and manage commercial insurance renewals from beginning to completion. • Review existing policies, coverage, limits, deductibles, and exclusions. • Obtain quotations and negotiate terms, conditions, and premiums with insurance markets. • Process endorsements, policy changes, certificates, cancellations, and other client requests. • Ensure all policy documentation is accurate and delivered to clients in a timely manner. • Monitor renewal deadlines and maintain accurate records within the brokerage management system.





New Business & Sales • Identify opportunities to expand existing client accounts through additional coverage and insurance solutions. • Participate in the preparation of new business submissions and proposals. • Develop relationships with prospects and support the acquisition of new commercial accounts. • Collaborate with producers and insurers to obtain competitive coverage and pricing. • Meet or exceed established retention, revenue, and sales objectives.

Insurance Markets & Underwriting • Maintain strong working relationships with insurance carriers and underwriters. • Prepare complete and accurate submissions for new business and renewals. • Negotiate coverage, premiums, deductibles, and policy terms on behalf of clients. • Stay informed about changes in commercial insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and market conditions.

Claims & Risk Management • Assist clients with claims-related questions and coordinate with claims departments when required. • Identify potential gaps in coverage and recommend appropriate solutions. • Provide clients with guidance on risk management and loss prevention where appropriate.

Qualifications: • 5+ years enterprise level Account Manager experience with commercial property and/or commercial banking experience credit & surety preferred. • Management experience a plus: implement, hire contractors & maintain all the company registrations, licensing, & compliance. • Excellent client service and relationship-management skills, will attend meetings c-suite & finance executives from time to time. • Strong communication, and organizational abilities. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office especially Excel and CRM software. • License in Damage Insurance.
