Our client is seeking aSenior SAP BTP Technical Architect / Lead Developer to support a major SAP S/4HANA implementation project.

The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on technical expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) / Integration Suite, and ABAP development on BTP .

This individual will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing scalable SAP integration solutions, supporting the migration and modernization of enterprise applications within the SAP S/4HANA landscape.

The successful candidate must be capable of providing technical leadership and architectural guidance while remaining actively involved in hands-on development.

Work Mode - Remote with some travel to Montreal Duration - 6 months plus extension Key Responsibilities SAP BTP Architecture & Development Lead the design, development, and implementation of solutions using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

Define technical architecture, integration patterns, and development standards aligned with the SAP S/4HANA implementation.

Design and develop cloud-based applications, extensions, and integrations leveraging SAP BTP services.

Apply SAP Clean Core principles to ensure scalable, maintainable, and upgrade-friendly solutions.

Provide technical leadership, guidance, and code reviews for SAP development teams. SAP CPI / Integration Suite Design, develop, configure, and maintain integrations using SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite.

Build and manage integration flows (iFlows) connecting SAP S/4HANA with SAP and non-SAP systems.

Implement API-based integrations using REST, SOAP, OData, and other relevant protocols.

Configure integration mappings, transformations, connectivity, security, and error-handling mechanisms.





Troubleshoot integration issues and optimize performance, reliability, and scalability.

Support integration testing, deployment, and production readiness activities. ABAP Development on BTP Develop and enhance applications using ABAP Cloud and the SAP BTP ABAP Environment.

Apply modern SAP development frameworks, including ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).

Develop APIs, services, and extensions supporting SAP S/4HANA business processes.

Support the modernization of legacy ABAP customizations using cloud-compatible development approaches.

Ensure adherence to SAP development standards, security requirements, and Clean Core architecture. SAP S/4HANA Implementation Collaborate with SAP functional consultants, solution architects, and business stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Design and implement integrations between SAP S/4HANA and surrounding enterprise applications.

Participate in technical design workshops, architecture reviews, and solution validation.

Support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), cutover, go-live, and hypercare.

Identify technical risks and recommend appropriate solutions.

Required Qualifications & Experience 10+ years of SAP technical development and/or architecture experience , preferably including leadership responsibilities.

Extensive hands-on experience with SAP BTP ,



including application development, extensions, and integration services.

Strong expertise in SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite , including complex integration design and development.

Advanced knowledge of ABAP development , including ABAP Cloud and ABAP on BTP .

Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations , ideally in a greenfield or large-scale transformation environment.

Robust understanding of SAP integration architecture, APIs, OData, REST, SOAP, and middleware technologies.

Experience with SAP Cloud Connector, connectivity configurations, and secure integration patterns.

Knowledge of SAP RAP, CDS Views, and modern ABAP development practices.

Demonstrated ability to translate business and technical requirements into scalable integration solutions.

Experience leading technical design discussions and providing architectural recommendations.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex technical deliverables.

Ideal Candidate Profile We are looking for a hands-on SAP technical architect or senior lead developer , not someone whose experience is limited to high-level solution design.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate: Deep, practical expertise in SAP BTP and CPI / Integration Suite.

Robust hands-on ABAP Cloud development experience.

Proven experience designing and implementing integrations in an SAP S/4HANA setting.

The ability to lead technical architecture discussions while independently developing and troubleshooting solutions.

Strong ownership, problem-solving capabilities, and experience delivering complex SAP transformation projects.
