Boost your mechanical skills as a Mechanic III with the Town of Qualicum Beach. This full time role supports Municipal Fleet maintenance and repair within the Public Works department.

In this permanent position, you will report directly to the Foreperson of Public Works. Your responsibilities will include performing scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, and repairs on a variety of automotive and equipment types. You will also inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct scheduled servicing and repairs on municipal vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical issues and implement corrective actions
• Perform welding repair and fabrication as needed
• Ensure compliance with safety work practices
• Operate a range of vehicles and equipment

Requirements:
• Grade 12 completion or equivalent
• Valid Class 3 BC Driver’s License with Air Endorsement
• Red Seal Automotive Service Technician qualification
• Minimum 5 years relevant mechanical experience
• Welding and fabrication skills required
