Then consider applying for the Deputy Director position at the Peace River Correctional Centre.

In this position you will work on a rotational shift and be responsible for the daily operation of the Centre.

Reporting directly to the Centre Director, you will be accountable for all administration, managerial and operational functions of your assigned shift.

You will ensure that all tasks are carried out in accordance with policies and directives.

Using your strong communication and interpersonal skills, you will participate in staff recruitment, training, mentoring, evaluation, supervision and performance management.

You will have a direct effect on the operational budget through fiscally responsible hiring of staff in order to backfill absences when required.





Expenditure Officer training and responsibilities will be required along with processing approvals on 1GX.

In addition, you will oversee all emergencies that occur in the facility including making sure operations officers are accessing and utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment as required by Occupational Health and Safety standards.

Your excellent administration skills will be applied and reflected in report writing and in the development of Centre Standard Operating Procedures.

Other responsibilities may include providing input on a variety of standing and special committees and involvement in special projects, as required.

In the absence of the Director in off hours and/or weekends, you may be requested to act on his behalf.
