About the Role Our client is actively seeking a seasoned and results-oriented Lead Construction Project Manager to spearhead major construction initiatives in Kimberley, Northern Cape . This pivotal role requires an individual with a proven history of successfully delivering complex building projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership capabilities, extensive knowledge of construction methodologies, and a sharp business acumen. You will be responsible for overseeing all phases of the construction lifecycle, from pre-construction planning and procurement to project execution and closeout. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets for large-scale construction projects.
Lead, manage, and motivate project teams, including site staff, engineers, architects, and subcontractors.
Oversee procurement processes, including tendering, contract negotiation, and material sourcing.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, safety regulations,



and environmental policies throughout the construction process.
Manage client relationships, providing regular project updates and ensuring client satisfaction.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to oversee progress, quality, and safety.
Manage project documentation, including progress reports, financial records, and change orders.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 5 years in a lead or senior role.
Demonstrable experience managing projects valued at over R50 million.
Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations in South Africa.
Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
Experience with contract administration and dispute resolution.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
