Your team's dynamic:
We are looking for a Senior Front-End Web Developer to join the UX Development team and help shape the foundations of user experience across Genetec products.

In this role, you will contribute to the evolution of Gelato, Genetec's design system, our micro front-ends platform, and the tooling that enables designers and developers to build consistent, high-quality user experiences at scale. Your work will directly influence how product teams design, develop, and deliver interfaces across our ecosystem.

As part of a highly collaborative team, you will partner with UX designers, developers, and product teams to create reusable UI solutions that improve consistency, accessibility, performance, and developer productivity. You will help ensure that design concepts are translated into robust, scalable implementations while fostering best practices in front-end architecture and user experience.

This role combines front-end engineering, design system development, platform thinking, and workflow innovation, including the exploration of AI-powered capabilities that accelerate product delivery and improve UX quality.

Your day at a glance:
Component Library & Design System Development

Build, evolve, and maintain enterprise-grade reusable UI components used across multiple products

Implement component APIs, states, patterns, tokens, and accessibility standards

Collaborate with designers during mockup and Figma reviews to assess feasibility, suggest improvements, and ensure alignment with Gelato guidelines

Contribute to the visual theme modernization effort, ensuring consistency across products.

Micro-Frontend Platform Engineering

Contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of our micro-frontends platform

Build tooling, scaffolding,

and shared runtime utilities that allow product teams to assemble modules efficiently and safely

Ensure good performance, security, lifecycle management, and DX for micro-frontends

AI Tools & Workflow Automation

Develop and integrate AI-powered tools that support designers and developers (e.g., UI linting, accessibility checks, mockup diffing, code generation helpers, documentation automation)

Collaborate with internal AI teams to explore new capabilities that improve UX quality and delivery speed

Participate in mandatory mockup reviews to ensure designs are technically sound and aligned with the design system

Provide technical guidance to product teams during integration of components and MFE modules

Occasionally fix UI bugs directly in product repositories when it helps unblock teams or maintain quality

Contribute to documentation, governance rules, and adoption guidelines

What makes you a great fit:

5+ years of experience in front-end development with modern frameworks (React or equivalent)

Proven expertise building and maintaining component libraries or design systems

Hands-on experience with micro-frontends, modular architectures, or shared platforms

Experience integrating or building developer tools, ideally including AI/automation workflows

Solid knowledge of accessibility (WCAG), usability principles, and front-end testing

Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with both designers and engineers

Fluent in French and English, both verbal and written (this role requires interaction with our international collaborators and customers)

An asset if you have:

Experience with design tokens, theming engines, or multi-product design systems.

Familiarity with Storybook, automated visual regression testing, and CI/CD for UI.

Contributions to open-source component libraries or developer tooling.

Experience working with GenAI models or creating AI-based developer tools.

Experience in WPF

You will shape foundational UI architecture across all products

You will influence both design and engineering processes at scale

You will help build current AI-driven capabilities that transform how teams design and ship UI

You will be part of a highly collaborative, kind, and forward-thinking UX Platform team

Attractive compensation package

Training Tuition Reimbursement Program

Work-life balance with a flexible working schedule

Subsidized meals in our amazing Bistro (Les Cordons Bleus)

Free, unlimited coffee and fruits

Private, free parking for all employees

Onsite fitness facility with personal trainer, and multiple wellness and health workshops
