About the Role Our client, a leading and established Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company, is seeking a highly qualified Financial Controller to oversee the financial operations for its South African division. This critical role will be based in Kimberley, Northern Cape , and will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. You will play a key role in providing financial insights and strategic guidance to support business decision-making and ensure financial health and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management, extensive experience in the FMCG sector, and a proven ability to lead a finance team. Key Responsibilities Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Develop and manage the annual budget and financial forecasts.
Implement and maintain robust internal controls to ensure the accuracy of financial data and compliance.
Manage cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships.




Ensure compliance with all relevant South African tax laws and financial regulations.
Lead and develop the finance and accounting team.
Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic business decisions.
Liaise with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
Drive process improvements within the finance function to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification is essential.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in financial management and accounting, with at least 4 years in a supervisory or controller role.
Extensive experience within the FMCG industry is mandatory.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and South African accounting standards.
Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
Strong understanding of internal controls and financial risk management.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Must be based in or willing to relocate to Kimberley, Northern Cape , for this full time, on-site role.
