Position Summary CHIN 111: Introductory Mandarin Chinese I This course will focus on introducing up-to-date standard Chinese (Mandarin) language and culture, including the Chinese pronunciation system, essential vocabulary and grammar, reading and writing Chinese characters.
Communicative competence and cross-cultural awareness are emphasized.
Position Requirements • At least a B.A. in a related discipline. • Native or near-native fluency in the target language as well as in English. • Experience and evidence of teaching ability in the relevant language.
Applicants with more teaching experience in the area in question, at the university level, will normally have preference over others.
