About the Role Our client, a leading logistics and distribution network, is seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Senior Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee their operations in Kimberley, Northern Cape . This is a critical leadership position responsible for ensuring the effective and cost-effective management of all warehouse activities, from receiving and storage to order fulfillment and dispatch. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of warehouse management systems, inventory control, and supply chain optimization. You will be instrumental in driving operational excellence, fostering a culture of safety, and managing a diverse team of warehouse professionals. This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic operational plans to optimize warehouse efficiency and productivity.
Oversee all daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management.
Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and implement measures to minimize stock discrepancies.
Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, company policies, and operational procedures.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing warehouse team, including supervisors and associates.
Manage budgets, control operational costs, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Implement and leverage warehouse management systems (WMS) to improve tracking, visibility, and overall efficiency.




Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, sales, and transportation, to ensure seamless supply chain integration.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate regular reports on operational performance.
Requirements A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in warehouse management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale warehouse operations.
Strong knowledge of inventory control principles, WMS, and supply chain best practices.
Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with WMS software.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within a warehouse environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
