Female Live-In Health Care Aide - 2 positions
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced female Health Care Aide to provide one-on-one care for an older disabled woman who is wheelchair-dependent and housebound. This is a live-in position for someone who is kind, patient, dependable, and committed to helping her live comfortably and safely in her own home.

Responsibilities

Safely assist with transfers using appropriate equipment and techniques.

Provide personal care, including assistance with toileting, bathing, dressing, and grooming.

Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals.

Perform housekeeping duties.

Offer companionship while respecting her privacy, dignity, and independence.

Observe and report any changes in her condition.

Qualifications

Health Care Aide Diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 3 years' professional caregiving experience with verifiable references.

Valid non-GDL Class 5 driver's licence

Current driver's abstract.

Current Standard First Aid certification with CPR Level C (or equivalent).

Up-to-date immunization record,



including TB screening (documentation required upon offer of employment).

Clear spoken and written English.

Ability to safely lift up to 34 kg (75 lb).

Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.

Experience providing care for individuals with mobility limitations and using safe transfer techniques.

Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Additional Information

Pets are part of the household, so applicants must be comfortable working around animals.

This home is not accessible by public transit.

This role is for someone who believes caregiving is a profession built on trust, responsibility, and doing the right thing—even when no one is watching.
