**Job Title: Trailer Technician**
**Job Description**
As a Trailer Technician, you perform comprehensive inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of trailers.

You use your mechanical, electrical, and fabrication skills to diagnose issues, complete high-quality repairs, and ensure all units meet safety regulations and industry standards.

You work in a hands-on shop and field-service setting, maintaining accurate records of your work and contributing to a collaborative, safety-focused team.
**Responsibilities**
Conduct thorough inspections of trailers to identify maintenance and repair needs.

Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubricating moving parts, replacing worn components, and adjusting brakes and suspension systems.

Diagnose and troubleshoot trailer issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques.

Repair or replace damaged or faulty trailer parts, including electrical systems, tires, brakes, lights, couplers, and axles.

Perform welding, fabrication, and bodywork repairs as required.

Ensure all repair and maintenance procedures comply with applicable safety regulations and industry standards.

Use tape measures, power tools, hand tools, and other equipment safely and effectively for repair and assembly work.

Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and labor hours.

Work collaboratively with other technicians and team members to meet service and quality expectations.

Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment as required.

Support shop and field-service operations by maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
**Essential Skills**
At least 1 year of experience as a Trailer Service Technician or in a similar role.

Strong knowledge of trailer systems, including electrical, suspension, braking, and structural components.

Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform repairs, maintenance, and assembly work.

Proficiency using tape measures, power tools, and hand tools in a repair and fabrication environment.

Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on trailers.

Experience using welding equipment for structural and bodywork repairs.

Capability to safely lift up to 85 pounds.

Good written and oral communication skills.

Ability to work effectively as a collaborative team player.

Licensed Truck-Trailer Service Technician (310J) or actively working towards this certification as an apprentice.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Experience in fabrication, welding, and tailgate repairs (considered an asset).

Previous experience in a shop or field-service environment performing trailer maintenance and repair.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Ability to maintain accurate documentation of parts usage and labor hours.

Comfort working with assembly processes and various mechanical components.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $56110.00 - $72800.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
