Responsibilities

Working as a Cashier at Walmart Sherbrooke means you're the last point of contact before a customer leaves the store — and that interaction matters. Your responsibilities cover everything from greeting customers warmly to processing transactions accurately and keeping your register area secure and organized.

- Greet all customers in a polite and friendly manner at the start of every interaction
- Process all purchase transactions in a timely and efficient manner, including deactivation of merchandise under the EAS Program
- Promote company-sponsored programs such as credit card services, product protection plans, and charity initiatives
- Assist customers with bagging and loading of merchandise as needed
- Follow safe work practices at all times, including proper lifting techniques and keeping a clean work area
- Maintain register security and integrity through diligent cash handling , adherence to company policies, and awareness of surroundings
- Refer appropriate service and transactional matters to a Customer Service Manager as required
