We are hiring an Exterior Cleaner / Groundskeeper to maintain the outdoor areas of a busy retail mall in Burnaby, BC. This is a physically active, outdoor role that includes snow removal, pressure washing, litter control, and general exterior maintenance — keeping the property clean, safe, and presentable for thousands of visitors every day.Wage: $21.11 per hourLocation: Burnaby, BCSchedule: Full time | Hours vary by seasonWhat You'll DoExterior Cleaning & Maintenance (approximately 90% of your time)Remove snow and ice and apply sand/salt as directed, following the Snow Management PlanOperate and maintain a tractor and snow removal equipment safely and as directedPick up litter across all sidewalks, parking lots, landscaped areas, and loading docksSweep, pressure wash, and weed-control sidewalk curbing and islands on a rotating cycleWipe and empty exterior garbage cans and ashtraysPressure wash mall entrances and anchor tenant entrances bi-weekly (June to October)Pressure wash and degrease Building D rear sidewalk and garbage room bi-annuallyPressure wash all building perimeter sidewalks annually (before June 1st)Clean and maintain all exterior storage areasRemove pallets and shopping carts to designated areasDeploy and reposition parking lot barriers as requiredInspect all exterior walls, signage, doors,



and lamp standards for graffiti and damage — report and remove graffiti within 24 hoursImmediately clean and sign off on standing water or spills at entrances and service corridors using wet floor signageDust mop and wash service corridor floors using walk-behind machinesInspect parking lot for potholes and report to the Property Manager same dayMonitor and report low gas or supply levels to the Team Leader or SupervisorRespond promptly to calls from the Property Manager, Lead Hand, Supervisor, or ManagerFollow all emergency procedures for fire and sprinkler alarmsAssist with customer promotions, displays, or table set-up when requestedAdministration (approximately 10% of your time)Complete incident report forms as requiredMaintain and fill out Exterior Risk Management LogsWhat We're Looking ForClass 5 Driver's Licence (required)Ability to safely operate and maintain tractor, snow removal equipment, and housekeeping suppliesPhysical fitness to perform demanding outdoor maintenance tasks in all weather conditionsReliable, consistent attendanceAbility to follow oral and written instructions in EnglishAbility to stand and walk for extended periods throughout your shiftWillingness to follow all health, safety, and security procedures#ECHP
