Overview

We are seeking a passionate, nurturing, and dedicated ECE/ Infant & Toddler Teacher to join our growing team. The successful candidate will create a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports young children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth through both play-based and structured Montessori activities.

We are looking for an educator who is committed to excellence in early childhood education and who communicates effectively with children, families, and colleagues.

About Earth Child Montessori School

Established in 2001, Earth Child Montessori School is a government-licensed Montessori early learning center serving children from infancy to 12 years of age.

Over the past 20+ years, our school has grown steadily and now serves more than 180 students. Our programs are designed to provide a strong academic and developmental foundation within a supportive and authentic Montessori environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote children’s physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development
- Create a safe, inclusive, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment
- Observe, assess, and document children’s progress and developmental milestones
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and reports
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging independence, teamwork, and social skills
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents regarding their child’s development and any concerns




- Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs, including supporting children with additional needs
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to enhance the overall educational experience
- Participate in school activities and events such as professional development days, parent-teacher conferences, concerts, and community events

Qualifications & Skills

- Strong leadership and classroom management skills
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Solid understanding of early childhood development principles
- Ability to create a structured yet flexible learning environment
- Proficiency in English (required)
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication

Required Certifications

- Valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)
- Current BC Infant & Toddler Early Childhood Educator (ECE/ECEIT) License
- Valid First Aid Certification
- Valid Work Permit / Working Visa (if applicable)

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
