One of our clients is seeking a reliable and experienced Counterbalance Forklift Operator to support its farm operations in Schomberg, Ontario, for a temporary assignment from October 22 to November 13, 2026.

The ideal candidate must be safety-conscious, dependable, and comfortable working in a rapid-paced warehouse or outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

· Operate a counterbalance forklift safely to move, lift, load, and unload materials and nursery products.

· Transport and organize pallets, plant stock, supplies, and other materials throughout the facility.

· Load and unload delivery trucks as required.

· Stack and store materials safely in designated areas.

· Perform pre-operation forklift inspections and report mechanical issues or safety concerns.

· Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines.

· Maintain clear aisles and an organized work area.

· Assist with general material handling and other warehouse or nursery duties as required.





· Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily operational requirements.

· Follow supervisors' instructions and complete assigned tasks efficiently.

Qualifications and Requirements

· Previous hands-on experience operating a counterbalance forklift is required.

· Valid forklift operator training or certification appropriate for the equipment is required.

· Ability to safely handle, lift, and transport materials.

· Experience in a warehouse, nursery, farm, landscaping, or agricultural environment is an asset.

· Good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.

· Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

· Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.

· Must be comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions, as required.

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
