Overview

We are seeking 2 energetic and detail-oriented Snow & Ice Maintenance Technician's to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and accessible pathways during winter months by performing snow removal and ice management across our outdoor spaces.

Duties

This is a casual/ seasonal, weather-dependent position with hours that vary based on snowfall, drifting, freezing rain and changing site conditions.

Applicants must be comfortable working a sporadic and flexible schedule when winter conditions require service. This may include:

- Early mornings
- Evenings
- Weekends and holidays
- Short-notice call-outs
- Additional shifts during prolonged snow events
- Operate snow plows, shovels, salt spreaders, and other equipment to clear snow and ice from walkways, entrances, and outdoor event spaces




- Use hand tools and power tools for ice mitigation tasks such as applying salt or sand to slippery surfaces
- Conduct safety inspections of outdoor areas to identify potential hazards related to snow or ice accumulation
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize high-traffic areas for timely clearing and treatment
- Maintain detailed records of completed work and equipment usage

Qualifications

- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on skills in using hand tools and power tools for maintenance tasks
- Ability to work outdoors in cold weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Physically capable of performing snow-removal work
- Previous snow-removal or equipment experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right people
- Able to work independently and as part of a crew
