Job description

BCW Property Services Ltd. is seeking a motivated and reliable Sign and Print – General Labourer to join our team. This position focuses on sign production, fabrication and installation, with support for general property services as needed. We are looking for someone who is tech savvy, comfortable learning software and equipment, able to safely lift and move heavy materials, and comfortable working at heights.

Experience in the sign and print industry is an asset, but we will consider applicants with less experience who demonstrate a strong work ethic, technical aptitude and a genuine willingness to work, learn and grow with our team.

Responsibilities

- Assist with the production, fabrication, installation and maintenance of signs and vinyl graphics, including working at heights when required.
- Use sign and graphic design software and learn to operate vinyl printing and sign laminating machines.
- Prepare, measure, cut, laminate and apply vinyl graphics and other sign materials.
- Operate trucks, hand and power tools, machinery and equipment safely and efficiently, with appropriate training.
- Load, unload, deliver and safely handle heavy signs, materials, tools and equipment.
- Prepare work sites, keep the shop and work areas organized, and complete cleanup after tasks are finished.
- Communicate by email with internal team members and external clients when required.
- Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Work primarily within the Niagara Region, with occasional travel as required.
- Assist with general building and property maintenance, parking lot line painting, landscaping, litter pickup and snow removal as needed.

Qualifications

- Tech savvy, with confidence using computers and the ability to learn new software,



printing equipment and production processes.
- Able to safely lift and move heavy materials and equipment, including loads of 50+ lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights and following required safety procedures.
- Valid G driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable performing physical labour and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Working at Heights certification is an asset; training may be provided if required.

Experience considered an asset

- Graphic design or sign-making software, such as Flexi.
- Sign fabrication or installation, including vinyl graphics.
- Operating vinyl printing machines.
- Operating sign laminating machines.
- Operating or working from a bucket truck.
- Using common hand and power tools, or operating trucks and property maintenance equipment.

Schedule

Standard hours are Monday to Friday, with an early morning start. On-call availability may be required during certain months, primarily winter. Evening, after-hours, weekend and holiday work may be required depending on weather and project demands.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
