Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) – Smile Ko Dental, South Calgary

Chairside care at a modern South Calgary clinic where patients are greeted like family, and so is the team.

We’re a warm, café-inspired family practice on Southport Rd SW. You’ll assist chairside, take digital scans and radiographs, and help nervous patients feel at home from the moment they sit down.

- 32 hours a week guaranteed, usually more. We’re busy, so most weeks there are extra hours.

- Done by mid-afternoon most days. Monday, Wednesday and Friday wrap up at 3 pm and Saturday at 4 pm. Late days are Tuesday and Thursday, and Thursday doesn’t start until noon.

What you’ll do

- Assist Dr. Emami chairside through restorative, hygiene-support and surgical procedures.
- Take digital radiographs and intraoral photos within your scope of practice.
- Capture 3D digital scans, including for our custom take-home whitening trays, and deliver trays to patients.
- Set up and turn over operatories, and keep infection control to standard alongside our sterilization tech.




- Prepare materials and keep charting accurate as you go.
- Walk patients through what’s happening next, in plain language, so nothing comes as a surprise.
- Help anxious patients settle: a pause, a slower pace, a little extra explanation, whatever it takes.
- Support our family appointment blocks, where parents and kids are seen in the same visit.

What we’re looking for

- Registration in good standing with the College of Alberta Dental Assistants (CADA).
- Confident chairside on restorative and hygiene appointments.
- Current radiography authorization and solid infection-control habits.
- Genuine warmth with patients of all ages, especially the nervous ones and the little ones.
- Reliable, organized, and happy to pitch in wherever the day needs you.
- Available for some evening and Saturday shifts.
- Fluency in Tagalog or another Philippine language (e.g., Ilocano, Cebuano) is an asset, to help patients understand their care in the language they’re most comfortable with.
- Experience with Dentally, intraoral scanners or digital sensors is an asset. We’ll train you either way.

Schedule
32+ hours a week, guaranteed. We’re open Monday to Saturday (Mon/Wed/Fri 8–3, Tue 8–7, Thu 12–7, Sat 8–4), so the schedule includes some evening and Saturday shifts.
