Job Summary

Air Brake Instructors are a driving force behind Valley Driving School (Valley) and key to our success as a business. Air Brake Instructors have the important task of working in harmony with clients and colleagues. This position will ensure effective delivery of our services, promote sales related to client training needs, monitor schedules and ensure each student has a positive training experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Lead and engage students in a positive, professional, and energetic learning environment
- Actively involve students in their learning process
- Deliver well-rounded lessons covering multiple skills tailored to student ability
- Manage lesson time effectively to meet training objectives
- Build strong rapport and professional relationships with students




- Use creative and solution-oriented approaches to keep students engaged and motivated
- Monitor student progress to meet course timelines and requirements
- Complete fair and accurate student assessments
- Act on client feedback and continuously seek improvement

Qualification & Requirements

- Required Air Brake instructor certification
- Air brake assessment officer certification an asset
- Excellent communication (verbal and written)
- Basic math and written communication skills
- Comfortable using technology and training systems
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Solid organizational skills
- Ability to maintain professional client and employee boundaries
- Available to work evenings and weekends
- Participation in group yard sessions and classroom facilitation is considered an asset

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
