Helios Aviation Ltd. is seeking a motivated Apprentice- Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our growing team in Calgary, Alberta. This role supports our expanding flight school operations under Executive Compass Flight Institute.

This position is designed for individuals pursuing a career in aircraft maintenance and working toward becoming a licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME). The successful candidate will work under the supervision of licensed engineers and gain hands-on, practical experience in a skilled aviation environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist licensed AMEs in the maintenance and inspection of company aircraft, including Cessna 172 and Piper Seneca models
- Support daily maintenance operations and aircraft servicing
- Help ensure proper documentation and record-keeping
- Assist with routine inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the maintenance area
- Follow company procedures and Transport Canada regulations
- Support the flight school and operations team as required

Technical Requirements

- Grade 12 Diploma




- Completion of Transport Canada Approved AME training program
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Basic understanding of aircraft systems and maintenance practices

- On-call as required
