Join our vibrant bakery team as a Bakery Front Clerk, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a warm, welcoming environment for our customers. In this role, you’ll be the friendly face greeting guests, assisting with their selections, and ensuring our bakery displays are inviting and well-stocked. Your energy and attention to detail will contribute to a delightful shopping experience, inspiring customers to indulge in our fresh baked goods every day.

Duties

- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit
- Assist customers with selecting baked goods, cakes, and other bakery items, offering product knowledge and recommendations
- Handle food preparation tasks such as packaging baked goods and assembling cake orders, including cake decorating when needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front display cases, shelves, and checkout area
- Ensure all food handling and safety standards are strictly followed during service and packaging
- Restock bakery items regularly to keep displays appealing and fully stocked
- Operate cash registers accurately, process transactions efficiently, and manage customer inquiries with a positive attitude





Requirements

- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred, especially in bakery or kitchen settings
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques
- Skills in cake decorating, food preparation, and basic cooking are highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and courteously
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting boxes or packaging baked goods
- Familiarity with food industry standards related to baking, packaging, and safety regulations
- Kitchen experience or food industry background is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
