Our Company: Allumette Forestry is based in the Ottawa Valley and is involved in all aspects of forestry, including silviculture, planning, operations and management.
Position Overview: Allumette Forestry is in search of an experienced brushsaw operator (brusher) to perform manual forestry tending activities. Operators are required to cut brush with clearing/thinning saw (Stihl FS 460). Previous experience in tending or thinning is required. All equipment will be provided.
This is a short term position for the remaining of the 2026 brushing season.
Production pay based on area treated
Qualifications
- Knowledge of tree species identification
- Ability to navigate difficult terrain in all forms of weather
- Other related experience such as tree planting or logging
- Driver’s license (G or equivalent)
- Skilled Chainsaw Operator License (optional)
