We’re hiring a Business and Corporate Immigration Lawyer to step into a key role: managing files, leading a team, drafting strategic applications, and becoming a trusted advisor to employers and business owners. This is not just a legal role—it’s for someone who wants to grow, lead, and make a real difference.
Position Type
Full-Time, Remote
Salary range: $75,000 – $95,000 per year
What You’ll Do
- Lead corporate immigration files—LMIAs (High-Wage, Low-Wage, and Global Talent Stream), Free Trade Agreement work permits, C10 and intra-company transfers, employer-driven PNPs, and Express Entry—and guide employers through LMIA recruitment and compliance.
- Lead business immigration files—C11, entrepreneur PNPs, and other business streams.
- Draft clear, persuasive legal submissions tailored to each client’s story.
- Communicate with clients, explain strategy in plain English, and support them with empathy.
- Review and sign off on applications; manage files from intake to submission; track milestones and deadlines.
- Supervise, mentor, and manage case workers and support staff.
- Spot legal/procedural risks and proactively propose solutions.
- Help improve systems, templates, and client experience across the firm.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in corporate and business immigration law.
- Member in good standing of a Canadian law society.
- Proven experience managing and overseeing staff.
- Working command of LMIA streams, FTA work permits, C10/C11/ICT, Start-Up Visa, PNPs, and Express Entry.
- Strong legal writing and drafting skills.
- Clear, warm communicator—written and verbal.
- Excellent attention to detail and superior organizational and time management skills.
- Proactive, reliable, and ownership-driven.
- Client-focused mindset with high professional standards.
- Growth-oriented—curious, coachable, and committed to improvement.
- Bonus: familiarity with remote tools/practice management systems.
