Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated certified Diver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for underwater work and possess the necessary certifications and experience to perform various diving tasks safely and efficiently. This role involves working in diverse environments, conducting inspections, performing maintenance, and assisting with underwater projects.
Responsibilities
- Conduct underwater inspections of structures, pipelines, and equipment to assess condition and integrity.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on submerged structures.
- Assist in underwater construction projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to plan dives and ensure all safety measures are in place.
- Maintain diving equipment and ensure it is in good working condition before each dive.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while performing diving operations.
Skills & Requirements
- Must be a Certified Unrestricted Surface Supplied Diver and have experience in COMMERCIAL diving.
- The candidate MUST hold all the work site required diving documentation and certifications that comply with Workers Compensation Board of BC Standards for Diving. These include Divers Log, Diving Certifications, Occupational Diving Medical, Dive Accident Management Certification, Oxygen Administration Certification and Occupational Level 1 First Aid or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of diving equipment, techniques, and safety practices.
- Excellent physical fitness and ability to work in challenging underwater conditions.
- Robust communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
Compensation: We offer competitive, industry-standard compensation with travel expenses and per diems covered. Diving work is project-based, offering flexibility in scheduling.
