Chef – Full-Time & Part-Time | MIX The Bakery, West Point Grey

$20–$24/hour, depending on experience

MIX The Bakery has been baking from scratch in West Point Grey since 2003. We’re a neighbourhood bakery and café with a busy wholesale and catering side, and we’re looking for a chef to join our kitchen team. Both full-time and part time positions are available.

What you’ll do

- Prepare scratch-made café menu items: sandwiches, soups, salads, savoury bakes, and daily specials
- Produce food for wholesale orders and catering events, from small office lunches to large multi-site orders
- Help develop new menu items and seasonal specials
- Follow recipes and portioning to keep quality consistent
- Keep the kitchen clean and organized and follow food safety standards
- Help with prep, inventory, and receiving
- Work closely with our bakers and front-of-house team

What we’re looking for

- At least 1–2 years of experience in a professional kitchen (bakery or café experience is a plus)




- Culinary school training is an asset but not required
- FOODSAFE Level 1 (or willing to get it)
- Ability to work quickly and stay organized during busy service and large orders
- Reliable, punctual, and a good team player
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Early morning and weekend availability is an asset
