About the opportunity The Hope Highway Church is a growing Christian church in Calgary with a mission to restore hope to the hopeless and bring deliverance.

We are seeking an organized, personable, and dependable coordinator to manage community outreach, organize flyer distribution, support visitor follow-up, and coordinate volunteers and weekly ministry activities.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys connecting with people and turning plans into completed tasks. You will work directly with the Lead Pastor to establish consistent systems that help people discover the church, feel welcomed, and become connected.

Responsibilities

Community outreach

- Plan and coordinate flyer distribution in selected Calgary communities.
- Participate in distribution and organize volunteer routes and assignments.
- Obtain permission to display or distribute materials where required.
- Build relationships with community organizations and local businesses.
- Keep records of outreach activities, enquiries, and results.

Visitor welcome and follow-up

- Respond to enquiries about services and events.
- Coordinate Sunday welcome arrangements for guests.
- Maintain accurate visitor records and contact preferences.
- Follow up with visitors who have agreed to be contacted.
- Help guests take their next step toward connecting with the church.

Volunteer and ministry coordination

- Recruit and schedule volunteers in collaboration with church leadership.
- Confirm assignments and communicate reminders.
- Maintain the ministry calendar and task list.
- Support event registration and practical preparations.
- Prepare a brief weekly report covering outreach, visitors, volunteer needs,



and outstanding tasks.

What we are looking for

- Robust organization and follow through.
- Warm, respectful communication in person, by phone, and in writing.
- Confidence approaching people and building community relationships.
- Ability to work independently and manage agreed priorities.
- Comfort using email, spreadsheets, online forms, and basic digital tools.
- Respect for confidentiality and responsible handling of personal information.
- Willingness to work respectfully within a Christian ministry and support its mission.
- Ability to travel to assigned outreach locations within Calgary.
- Availability during Sunday services, currently held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with setup and closing time as scheduled.

Experience in community outreach, volunteer coordination, customer service, administration, or event support is an asset. Experience with church management software and social media is welcome but not required.

- Outreach activities happen consistently and are documented.
- Visitors receive a warm welcome and timely follow up.
- Volunteers understand their assignments and arrive prepared.
- Ministry records and schedules stay accurate.
- The Lead Pastor spends less time managing routine coordination.
