Duststop Air Filters is a Canadian manufacturer of air filtration products, based in Petrolia, Ontario. Our team takes pride in a safe, clean and well-run facility, and we're looking for a dependable person to help keep it that way, inside and out.

About the role

As our Cleaner / Property Maintenance worker, you'll keep our plant, warehouse and offices clean and safe, and look after the outside of the property all year. That means cleaning production areas and washrooms, cutting the grass in summer, and clearing snow and ice in winter. You'll report to the Production Manager / Maintenance Supervisor and work alongside our facility and maintenance team.

What you'll do

Facility cleaning

- Sweep, mop and clean floors in office and production areas
- Clean washrooms, lunchrooms and common areas
- Dust and wipe desks, fixtures and equipment
- Empty garbage and recycling and take waste to disposal areas
- Keep production floor walkways and work areas clear of debris and packaging
- Use cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor scrubbers, and keep tools and supplies in valuable condition
- Keep track of cleaning supplies and let your supervisor know when stock is low

Grounds and property maintenance

- Maintain lawns, landscaping and outdoor areas
- Transparent snow and apply ice control in winter
- Maintain parking lots, walkways and loading areas
- Remove debris, waste and unwanted materials from the property
- Help with facility cleanup projects as needed
- Report damage, maintenance issues or unsafe conditions





What we're looking for

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Cleaning experience preferred; grounds maintenance or snow removal experience an asset
- Able to safely use cleaning equipment and grounds equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers and snow blowers
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather, including early mornings for snow removal
- Robust safety awareness and attention to detail
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced setting
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and to stand, walk and bend for most of the shift
- WHMIS certification is an asset (we provide training)
