The Speech Clinic is a close knit team of over 35 Speech-Language Pathologists and Communicative Disorder Assistants who are passionate about effective communication therapy and know the joy of making positive changes in patients lives. We are an established and innovative practice where the therapists have easy access to managers and mentors.

We are currently seeking a CDA for our school based team. The CDA would work in schools in the Orillia, Midland, and Barrie to provide therapy as set out by the overseeing Speech-Language Pathologist. French Language is an asset.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- To provide speech therapy to children regarding speech and language programming, resources, accommodations, and modifications for children as per the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (S-LP).
- To work with children from different background and specialized populations.
- To collaborate and consult with S-LP and other company professionals.
- To provide families with resources, information and home programming.
- To complete thorough communication logs outlining session details to caregivers.




- To model language facilitation strategies and the use of visual communication devices/systems to other team members.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

- Communicative Disorders Assistant Certificate or similar.
- 1-2 years of experience as a CDA is preferred, but new grads also welcome to apply
- Minimum one year related experience working with children with various exceptionalities is required
- French language is an asset.
