Handle insurance litigation files of varying complexities from beginning to conclusion.

Draft opinions, pleadings, affidavits and other legal documents to support applications, mediations, judicial settlement conferences and trials.



Prepare and present legal educational seminars to the claims department and help your Intact colleagues from other departments on inquiries. Maintain productive and effective communications with claims department and adjusters.

Member in good standing of the Law Society. Minimum of 2 years of insurance litigation experience.

Experience in legal research and writing, including authorship of legal opinions.

Experience in drafting pleadings, conducting discoveries, mediations, application documents and pre‐hearing memoranda. Proficiency in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes. Trial experience, particularly independent trial experience, is a definite asset.
