Overview

We are looking for individual to join our construction team as a folding arm crane truck driver with opportunities for career advancement in the trades and construction industry. The ideal candidate will be able to load and operate our single axel 6-tonne crane truck and assist with construction activities, equipment installation and bolt up for various infrastructure projects.

Typical projects include: water treatment plants, pump stations, civil infrastructure, large plumbing projects and municipal projects. This individual must have the desire to assist with day to day activities pertaining to equipment installations, rigging, pipe installations and civil operations amoung changing job sites.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate a 6-tonne folding crane truck to transport materials, tools, and freight to designated construction sites
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle and crane equipment to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload freight using the folding crane, ensuring secure placement and adherence to safety protocols




- Coordinate with site managers and team members to confirm delivery schedules and site access requirements
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and operational activities for record-keeping purposes
- Assist workers onsite with installations as required

Qualifications

- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Class 5 is a minimum, class 1,3 and air endorsement is a plus
- 10-tonne folding arm crane certification
- Certification in forklift operation is a plus
- Knowledge of freight handling, load securing techniques, and safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation
- Basic automotive repair skills to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues
- Felxibility to work on projects all over Vancouver Island
