Cross-border truck drivers transport goods across international lines, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to customs regulations. Responsibilities include vehicle maintenance, route planning, and documentation management.

Responsibilities:

- Operate cross border trucks to transport goods across international borders
- Ensure adherence to all traffic laws and regulations during cross border transportation
- Inspect vehicles before and after each trip to ensure they are in good working condition
- Maintain accurate records of driving time, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods
- Adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to the cargo or vehicle
- Ensure compliance with customs and border regulations for international transportation
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients by delivering goods on time and handling any issues or concerns that may arise during transportation

Requirements:

- Must have a valid commercial driver's license
- At least 3 years of experience as a cross border truck driver




- Ability to operate and maintain a tractor-trailer truck
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance with traffic laws
- Good communication skills to interact with dispatchers and clients
- Must be willing to work long hours and travel long distances
- Physical stamina and strength to load and unload goods
- Knowledge of customs procedures and documentation for cross-border shipments

Work Settings:

- Local in town; multiple lanes
- Hwy driving throughout BC/AB
- Hwy driving throughout WA/OR

Documentation Knowledge:

- Driver’s Logbook
- Trip Reports
- Inspection Reports (Pre-trip, En-route and post-trip report)
- Accident or incident report
- Dangerous goods occurrence reports

Certification and Experience:

- Class 1 Licence 3 year + (Required)
- Fast Card (Required or willing to get one)
- Commercial driving 3 year + (Requried)
- Clean Criminal history

Job Types: Full time, Permanent Pay: $7,000.00-$10,000.00 per month
