Company Overview

Victoriaville Funeral Supplies is a dedicated distributor of funeral products, committed to providing high-quality items and exceptional service to our clients. We support funeral service providers by ensuring reliable supply chains and comprehensive product offerings.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Customer Service Coordinator in Mount Forest to provide front-line operational leadership across warehouse, inventory, fleet, delivery, and customer service activities. Reporting directly to the Regional CSC Manager, this role translates business priorities into daily execution, coordinates employees and drivers, monitors costs and performance, resolves operational issues, and maintains safe, accurate, and reliable service. Working closely with site and regional management, the successful candidate will bring sound judgment, accountability, and the confidence to lead in a fast-paced environment.

Key Highlights

· Lead daily operations: Set priorities and coordinate receiving, storage, order preparation, shipping, returns, transfers, and delivery execution.

· Direct and develop the team: Coordinate staffing, schedules, training, cross-training, communication, and performance follow-up for warehouse employees and drivers.

· Own inventory accuracy: Maintain disciplined SAP and WMS processes, oversee counts and audits, investigate discrepancies, and drive corrective action.

· Manage operating costs: Monitor labour, overtime, fuel, repairs, supplies, and other expenses; explain variances and recommend improvements to management.

· Manage delivery performance: Coordinate routes, documentation, vehicle capacity, driver availability, and service recovery while balancing customer needs and operating constraints.

· Champion safety and quality: Reinforce safe facility and fleet practices, protect product quality, address concerns promptly, and escalate material risks when required.

What You’ll Do

· Lead daily operating meetings and set priorities based on workload, delivery commitments, staffing, equipment availability, safety, and customer requirements.

· Oversee order accuracy, documentation, loading, dispatch, and system transactions, and intervene when service or quality standards are at risk.

· Review inventory, replenishment, aging stock, returns, consignments, and inter-CSC transfers; assign follow-up actions and ensure timely resolution.

· Coordinate staffing coverage, attendance, timekeeping, productivity, coaching, and performance follow-up, escalating formal employee matters to management as appropriate.

· Manage fleet readiness by reviewing inspections, mileage, preventive maintenance, repairs, fuel use, driver availability, and required records.

· Lead routine facility and equipment inspections, ensure hazards are addressed, and oversee timely reporting of incidents, injuries, property damage, and near misses.

· Serve as an operational escalation point for customers, funeral homes, drivers, and internal teams, providing clear decisions, communication, and service recovery.

· Analyze and report operational, labour, maintenance, safety, service, and performance results, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions or process improvements.

What You Bring

· Progressive experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, or customer service operations, including responsibility for daily coordination, inventory control, staffing, documentation, expense tracking, and delivery performance.

· Demonstrated experience leading employees, setting priorities, addressing performance issues, and coordinating work across operational and customer-facing teams.

· A valid commercial driver’s licence (DZ) and a driving record acceptable under company policy are required.

· Working knowledge of fleet coordination, commercial vehicle requirements, and safe loading and unloading practices.

· Experience with warehouse systems, barcode scanners, and inventory software; SAP experience is preferred.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and reporting tools, with the ability to interpret operating data and communicate results to management.

· Strong leadership, organization, judgment, communication, problem-solving, customer service, and follow-through skills; funeral service or casket distribution experience is an asset.

Schedule & Work Setting

This active leadership role combines office-based coordination with regular presence in the warehouse, loading areas, and delivery operation. It includes standing, walking, bending, and assisting with product movement using approved equipment and procedures. The successful candidate must maintain a valid DZ commercial driver’s licence and be prepared to drive when operational coverage or service needs require it.

Availability for early starts, urgent operational issues, and scheduled Sunday coverage may be required. Duties must be performed safely, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.

Ready to lead a rapid-moving customer service, warehouse, and delivery operation?
