Registered Dietitian

BayWest Medical Centre – Ajax, Ontario

BayWest Medical Centre is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our growing healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide evidence-based nutrition care and support patients in achieving their health and wellness goals.

Position responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans
- Provide evidence-based dietary counselling and nutrition education
- Support patients with chronic disease management, weight management, and other nutrition-related concerns
- Provide individualized meal planning and dietary recommendations
- Monitor patient progress and adjust nutrition plans as needed
- Communicate and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
- Provide patient-centred care while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism




- Participate in referrals and follow-up care as appropriate

Qualifications

- Registered Dietitian in good standing with the Ontario regulatory body
- Previous clinical or primary care experience is an asset
- Strong communication, counselling, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is an asset
- Professional, reliable, and patient-focused
