Job Summary

Duties

- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools efficiently throughout the shift
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all equipment is functioning properly
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, supporting chefs and kitchen staff in food handling and prep activities
- Follow proper food safety protocols and hygiene standards at all times
- Manage waste disposal and recycling processes responsibly to keep the workspace tidy
- Support the overall cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces regularly




- Collaborate with restaurant or hotel staff to ensure timely delivery of clean dishes for service

Requirements

- Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key!
- Strong understanding of cleaning procedures, food handling safety, and sanitation standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure all items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and food service practices is a plus
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
