Duties
- Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth for children.
- Foster a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Observe and assess each child's progress, documenting developmental milestones and communicating findings with families.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and daily activities
- Support children's emotional well-being by promoting positive behavior strategies and conflict resolution techniques.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, concerns, and program updates.
Requirements
- Valid registration as an RECE (Registered Early Childhood Educator)
- CPR- C First Aid
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, including classroom experience.
- Knowledge of child development principles, early childhood education best practices, and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—to effectively engage with children, families, and team members.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently across multiple responsibilities.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities along with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
